One of the first routines I came up with, sort of.
I was on rotating shifts in a group home while also doing my research on the psychology of ritual. One day some kids showed me a strange game involving putting imaginary bricks in the arm.
Suddenly it all came into focus. Using the principles of the psychology of ritual, we could turn this simple children's game into a reliable mind-bending multi-stage experience. The result is Psychic Surgery, which would go on to be performed on stage and screen by some of the top entertainers in the world.
